I have a strange one & hope someone can help me out!

When I'm using Windows explorer & I click on the "Edit" option from the top toolbar, explorer crashes every time. I then get that old crap windows Msg giving me the option to report the problem to Microsoft.

What's so strange about this is, I have 3 desktops & a Laptop & it's happening on everyone of them!!! & every time I click on the "Edit" option.

Restarts have not helped at all.

The only thing I can think of that is common across all machines is that they all had Windows latest updates applied yesterday.

Anyone come across this? or no of a fix?

Does it crash when you have selected a particular file or just always? Does it crash if you right click in the files window too?

Finally, can you do a system restore on any of the computers to a point before the latest update, or can you remove the update and see if the problem goes away?

They are all networked but I have removed one of them so it would be standalone & the issue is still there.

With regard to a possible infection?
The machines are pretty well protected & are all reporting to be Virus/Spyware free.

The issue only occurs when I click on the "Edit" option on the top toolbar.
It doesn't matter what window or file set are open at the time. It happens everytime I click on the "Edit" option.

All other aspects of Explorer are functioning correctly.

I am going to roll one back to see if in fact it is update related.

    Another thought?
All of the machines have the same software Apps installed, so I wonder if it could be related to a shell extension of one of the other programs that is causing a conflict?
