Problem, sky interfering with terrestrial channels

have noticed a problem with my terrestrial channels since i did my setup.

i have cable from dish into attic and connceting then to cable which is goung down to sitting room tv point. i then have an rf lead from tv point into sky digibox.

My terrestrial channels are coming from aerial in attic down thru same conduit and to same tv point in sitting room.

now problem is that MY tg4 seems to ave static interference when the sky box is on.

is there something majorly wrong with this setup. is there a resistor or something in the tv point causing the problem. Is there cross interference in the tv point.

Perhaps the output of the sky box is the culprit, try changing the output channel of the digibox from 68 (the default) in the installer menu and see if it makes any difference

shouldnt be the problem,

there is no lead from rf1 or rf2 on the digibox.

the lead from the tv point to the sky box is the continuation of the feed from the satellite dish.!

I had the same problem, caused by a crappy wall plate. Change it for a fully isolated plate (pref the type that has an F-type connector inside).

The OP's location says Clare, and TG4 is on Ch 68 from the Maghera transmitter in Clare, this is surely the problem, move the RF out somewhere else, lets say 62, which I would expect be clear

The point is the digibox is still modulating on channel 68 - and it's close enough to mess up reception of a 'wanted' channel 68 signal.

changed to a different rf no. and it has fixed the problem.
