    Annoying thing about the Schrodinger is that you can't sneak out of there, or (as I found in first year) you can't casually turn up late to lectures. Plus it's incredibly uncomfy.

    They've no upholstered the seats so they're exceptionately comfy now. A plus considering half my lectures are there :)

    I love that lecture theatre, even during its uncomfy days. And Dónal, you can come and go as you please once you stop caring what the lecturer thinks of you.

    The wind yesterday blew off some glass panels off the roof. It'll hopefully be fixed by the time the talk is on.

    Expect to see images such as:

    SOHO_EIT_ultraviolet_corona_image.gif
    A 17.1 nm wavelength (ie extreme ultraviolet light image) of the sun from the soho spacecraft

    there's some "3d stereo" video images of those images that was shown a few months back in the visualisation system in college recently. that stuff does look pretty slick.
