Getting sky+installed on friday(hopefully) as part of multi-room.I know this requires the 2 boxes being connected to a phoneline but i just wondering if it will affect my broadband speeds as there seems to be a lot of phone wires coming out of one phone socket. Thanks in advance.

Nope it shouldn't affect the speed at all. You will need to have both Sky boxes connected to the phone line through a microfilter though, as you would for a telephone.

If you were unsure, just unplug all phone equipment from the line, and plug in the line to the broadband router directly from the main socket in the house. If the sync light appears, all would be ok. If the sync didnt appear, and all the equipment was plugged in, unplug and re-plug each socket to see which item caused the line to drop.

Its all or nothing with regard to broadband. If you didnt have a sync light, you would have no service. If you have a sync light, you get your connection at the speed you pay for.

But, as Michael Collins said, as long as the micro-filters are on correctly, and have a sync light on the modem, you will be fine.
