    Just one question.
Do i need to have an existing broadband or internet connection in my house to connect to the internet via wireless?
I dont have broadband or a phone line and i got the Fonera router yesterday. Just was wondering if there was anyway possible i could connect to the net witout broadband or a phoneline.

No, you just use the power of your mind and will the data to flow through the air to your PC.

Seriously, did you not read that back after you wrote it and not feel a lil bit stupid? :p Of course you need a connection to the internet to access the internet. The wireless router just allows you to access the connection wireless through out your house. No connection=no internet.

Yeah man, it was a bit heavy. Not everyone is techy aware. To a non techy person, a FON MIGHT sound like you can get wireless broadband.

However, as IRL pointed out, you can't. If you bought a subsidised model from FON and don't connect it to the internet, they may/will charge you the full price of the router.

How they will do this is unknown. Even if they DO, I don't know if they can enforce it.
