    It was like Hells Kitchen with 40 degree days, overnight temps of 35 degrees, the city blanketed in smoke from bushfires, water restrictions and power failures, road rage and mini riots.

    I'm a great believer that unless people are rioting specifically in my front garden, it doesn't bother me. We were outside Melbourne a lot of the time, in the rural towns north of it, which are quieter and provide for a more relaxing environment. Especially when you're staying with someone who has a pool.
