RTA - Dame St yesterday

    Hello boys and girls,

I was unfortunate enough to take a spill yesterday evening on Dame St when a lovely taxi driver decided to change lanes, without indicating, when i was almost on top of him.

Had to jam on and try to move to the side to avoid a collision. This coupled with the greasy road caused the back wheel to wobble and lose grip and the rest as they say is history. Thankfully I'm not yet history - i have a few bumps and bruises and my teeth are killing me for some reason but nothing serious.

Cosmetically the bike is in a bad way with many bits bashed, bent or held on with sticky tape and chewing gum - but she still goes, and in a straight line too which is nice.

Its only the hassle of dealing with insurance companies at this stage.

Anyway, I reckon some traffic camera must have caught it. I've been on to Dublin City Council and a guy there said their traffic cameras are only used or live feeds and that they don't save them anywhere - even for a day.

Does anybody happen to have any ideas as to who else I could try to contact. I am sure there are a good few cameras along Dame St.

    Thanks

There's at least one Garda CCTV camera along there, somewhere. I believe it's monitored from Pearse Street station.
