VGA TV Adaptor for Xbox

I was having a look on line for a way to play my Xbox (version 1) off a LCD monitor (Dell standard issue). I've seen that a VGA TV adaptor (Logic3) might be the way forward, but would like some more detailed info than what the retailer tells me (they always say their product will sing, dance, make breakfast, etc, etc:) ).…
