    Howdy,

Going traveling in a few months and I want to get some advice on my jabs. A few people i met told me not to go to a tropical medical centre such as www.tmb.ie because they try and oversell and shoot you up with more then you need. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you gone traveling for a year or so? Where did you get your jabs - how much did they cost and were you happy with the service?

    Thanks for your help/advice.

    K

When I was leaving the country I paid my doctor a visit for general health check and to ask a few questions.
He had a large chart displaying all the countries and what vaccines are needed for each.
I suggest you consult your doctor.

If you list the countries you are traveling to, some Boards members will let you know the jabs they got for those countries.

For a 3rd party site on recommended vaccines here is good

I still haven't worked out my itinerary completely yet. Will prob get Typhoid, malaria, rabies, tetanus, hep A+B, and yellow fever. I know that is pretty much everthing but feck it, alot of them are for life and I plan to do alot of travelling. Plus, any of these are pretty nasty to get. Any amount of money wouldn't be too much to have paid if you actually did catch any them!!

Anyway, if anyone has any info please post!
