[Request] Data Projector

Can anyone advise me of the best place to look for a very basic data projector? It'll only be used in a small classroom, projecting from the laptop to a 6ft x 4ft whiteboard.. so no major presentations or conferences etc.

I've seen a few for €700 - €800 but that seems crazy for just this function. I dont need many bells and whistles, just the basic model.

Dono where to buy cheap but FYI the bulbs in projectors cost between €300-500+ alone.

I was looking at those infocus ones on ebay.. Would that be a good option? They seem to have no problems with feedback and are guaranteed. Might be exactly what I'm after..

been thinking about it... and really don't know, buying new you get two year warrenty (infocus/dell) but still 90 days for lamp. And I guess there's a bit more risk buying something thats not brand new, should be up to scratch though if infocus are selling it. Lamp life is always the problem with projectors, they cost so much

If your classroom has an overhead projector then you could consider using one of these screen.

there's a lot of ho-ha over the lumen lab projector. $499, replacement blubs are $30. this isn't one of those ****ty ones for videogames that you might see on eBay. http://www.lumenlab.com/store/

One thing is most projectors aimed at home theatre use don't have as bright an image as a data projectors, make sure you get something thats bright enough for what you need

Hi,

Don't know the timescale in which you want it, but it's not unheard of for Lidl or Aldi to have them in. Could be worth keeping an eye out for!
