Donnie Darko song question

    Wasn't sure if this was more suited to the music section or not.

    I'm looking for the name of the instrumental song that starts around the 38 minute mark (on the original dvd version), where the school has a pta meeting and donnie is in the bathroom talking to frank asking him why he made him flood the school.
    I've checked each song listed in the credits but its not there and I don't want to go forking out cash for the soundtrack only to find it's not on it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I know the one your talking about, that kind of warped, throbbing apprehensive tone the drowns out the parents voices into a mumble. I'm not sure if thats even a song... just a little musical piece that get's played a few times during the film.

    Im pretty sure you can sample each track on the soundtrack (~30 seconds) on Amazon... it might turn up there.

    well a couple of the songs have the same parts in it but I think it may be called slipping away by michael andrews
