Passport Question

Am heading to the canaries:eek: Yes I know how original an holiday is this? :o but at least it will kill the January winter blues around the last week of January 22nd - 28th of January for a week or two. My passport has lapsed for over a year (Basically I couldn't bear the thought of giving the Fianna Fail dictatorship €75) :D and I had no need to travel outside the UK & Ireland in 2006.

It expired in February 2006 my question is just: Do I still return it for them to clip the corners off now that it is expired or is this only for passports that are still valid?? Also I know I am cutting it razor thin in terms of time but I hope I should have enough. Would physically going into the office speed things up anyway?

Don't knock GC. It's one of my favourite destinations. A lot more to it than Playa Del Finglas!

Anyway, you should really take yourself to the passport office in Molesworth street, with your old passport, tickets and a completed form.

They should be able to help you.

FWIW, the FF dictatorship doesn't make a penny on passports. I actually think they're done at a loss!

    Happy holidays.

As far as I know the post office do a gauranteed 10 day express passport service- providing you have completed all the forms correctly and sent in valid photos and fee etc. Might save time!
