Crackling sound on some Sky Digital channels

On both the television in the conservatory and the sitting room, there is a terrible crackle on some of the channels (BBC, Sky Sports) and other channels (Sky Movies) are fine. This is the same for both TV's. I have tried removing and clearing both SCART connections but to no avail. Also, the TV in the conservatory is a brand new Samsung 26" so it isn't just the TV's fault.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as this is doing my head in.

Press <Services>, go to "System Setup", then "Sound Settings", highlight "Volume" and put this down to the very minimum. Go to "Save New Settings", press <Select> - hopefully this should clear the issue for you.

Is there a seperate Skybox for each TV?

Have you tried unplugging the digibox for a minute, and plugging it back in?

Does the picture break up at any time?

Anyway, try Kensington's suggestion as it may cure the problem.

I'm going to move this over to you byte.
This seems more like a skybox issue.

There will be more sky people in satellite to get more responses! ;)

No problems here with BBC on Sky anyway. Don't have Sky Movies so can't comment on sound there.

Unless the problem affects only certain boxes

No problem here with Sky card in Dreambox , suspect its the receiver/s at fault (or possibly local electrical interferance?).

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

Glad you posted back, and that it worked.

Might be handy for others searching the forum with same problem.
