Pandora is crap imo. You type in a song and it gives you songs that are like it!
If you wanna listen to any song online look no further than youtube!

Completely disagree. Finding new music that is like your favourite music is the whole point of pandora - the more you use it, the more it refines its playlist to your taste. And the bitrate on YouTube is rubbish.

OP - you can use pandora in Ireland if you use a fake zip code during registration - try 90210 (as in Beverley Hills ;)) If that doesn't work, try www.last.fm

Not familiar with Pandora, but I am a big fan of Yahoo music. Streams both music (audio) and music videos. music.yahoo.co.uk for the UK/Ireland one.

Just to add my 2cent to this discussion...
I personally love Pandora....the randomness is the killer feature for me. I've found all sorts of music by people I've never heard of.
Has also prompted me to actually go and BUY music by these artists....and I don't spend money for no good reason:D

Each to their own i suppose. I was referred to it by a mate about 2 years ago and i gave up after about 2 weeks.
Example of its rubbish-ness: type a song: 'bedshaped-Keane'
you get 10 songs, 9 from bands you've never heard of and 1 song from keane (if you're lucky), and to top it off, it tells me then i cant do another search because of some time delay thingy because of music licences.
I have never and wont ever use it again.
Fair enough, each to their own. But no legal internet music station's license will allow you to listen to exactly the band you do want to listen to - i.e. no on-demand music - and Pandora does an excellent job of finding music which is similar to your own taste, hence it is great for finding new music. I've never had an issue with the time-delay thingy you're talking about...
if your on about the sound and vision quality, they are superb!!
Nope, the quality of anything I've checked out on YouTube is rubbish. Even pandora/last.fm's bitrate is only 128kbps which isn't that great, but listening to music on YouTube is just nasty.

Yes, completely, if the individual website's license allows it. www.last.fm is legal in Ireland. Or you could try installing Winamp which can connect to thousands of streaming radio stations.

I myself like listening to the shoutcast streams on winamp. granted you cant pick the songs, just the genre. tis basically just online radio stations.
