In the Babylon vein of things the three tv movie box set is on sale in Power city for a fiver. Well Powercity Sallynoggin anyway.

    Wow, very nice. Well spotted.

I've heard that delivery is pretty cheap on it too. Cheapest I could see elsewhere was 179.99 (euro) from Play (Amazon being roughly 108 euro). BlahDVD and Sendit get progressively dearer than that.

    Well spotted!

Just ordered... I'd been waiting for a cheap B5 box set and this is it!

Just wondering how much fighting it will do against the Stargate box sets that it'll 'sleep' next too ;);)

think Amazon have a flat postage rate for DVDs - whether they are multi disc box sets or just single DVDs.

so, I've watched maybe a dozen episodes of Babylon 5 and quite like it.

Is the box worth buying - does the series maintain a quality standard throughout the five years.

I see the movies and spin-off Crusade are included - what are they like?

The B5 universe is worth buying... lots of quality entertainment for the price.
For me, the plot accelerates all the way to the end of season 4.
Season 5 was "okay", but the writer Michael J Straczynski wasn't sure if the network would agree to fund season 5, so he squashed a lot into series 4.
That makes it an explosive season. It was hard to match that in series 5.

B5 Crusade was a spin-off series, but didn't get past it's first series.
It was interesting, but not as good as B5.
And it didn't get to resolve anything... it was axed, leaving the story/plotline
    untold.

B5 films were good, definitely watchable.

For me, the 5 seasons of B5 are worth the money, the rest is a bonus.

Good deal but I already have the first 4 seasons on dvd. It was a great show but it had it's ups and downs in quality. The first two seasons are a very slow buildup. Third season was the best by far imo. The fourth felt rushed and the fifth was kinda crap tbh. Final episode (which was actually shot during the 4th season) was perfect however. Spinoffs aren't worth getting imo.
