I need to give a speech soon at my own wedding. Its a multicultural
wedding Irish and German. I have my German and English speech sorted.

However I would like to say a small few words as Gaeilge as both
of my parents would have grown up with Irish. I am ashamed to say
my level of Irish at this stage is useless.

Its to be a surprise would anyone be able to help in translating a few short
    lines ?

Also what would be great if I could get a mp3/wav recording of a someone saying it so I get it pitch perfect ?

I am willing to pay a few quid for this.

    Thanks & Regards
    Kevin

What sort of length are we talking about? If it's not too long then stick up what you want to say in this thread and we'll have a bash at translating it.

Thanks for that below is the text:

    ##############################################
Now for a couple of words in my mother tongue Irish.

I would like to thank everyone for coming. To both families X and Y
for all there help in arranging the wedding. A special thank you to my
wife for saying yes so she is no longer just my "calin deas".

And now in the great Irish tradition lets raise your glasses so we
can get on with the Craic !.

OK, here's a rough translation, comments would be appreciated:

Anois, cúpla focal i mo theanga dhúchais, an Ghaeilge.

Ba mhaith liom buíochas a ghabháil le gach duine as teacht anseo, agus le muintir X agus muintir Y as an gcabhair a thug siad dúinn le linn eagrú na bainise. Gabhtar buíochas ar leith le mo bhean as "yes" a rá dom, tá a thuilleadh inti anois ná mo chailín deas.

Agus anois, ag cur le sean-traidisiún na nGael, impím oraibh do ghloiní a ardú, go leana an craic ar aghaidh!

Are your family names Irish in origin? They could be translated as well.
