Some people would call that smuggling :)

    And they would be wrong.

It is perfectly legal to buy alcohol in one EU country and bring it to another, as long as it is for personal use and you transport it yourself (this last is a new clause to stop people buying it on the net and having it shipped).

    Second that!

They always have several wines at a reduced price. They even do half-price sometimes. So if you have half a clue about what's worth buying then you could get some great bargains!

There's also a place about 700m past (under) the bridge on the LHS as you go into Newry called 'The Drink Link', I actually found it slightly cheaper than Sainsbury's.

Go in and price them both anyway, see if the guy in the drink link will do a deal, he's a nice chappie. :)

Sainsbury's has some fantastic ale you just don’t see down here, even Tesco has a much larger range that they stock here.
