Istanbul Ataturk Airport Chaos

Just a word of warning for travellers if they are going through transit through Istanbul Ataturk Airport, i had a bit of a nightmare there on my way back from Dubai yesterday morning, i went to the transit desk to get my boarding pass to Heathrow and to ensure my bags were put on the flight, i was told i had to go through a security check, they seemed for some bizzare reason to have different queues for security checks for London and Manchester then you had one for the rest of Europe and one for domestic flights:rolleyes: dear me, i only found this out after queuing for 20 mins only to be told to queue again:mad:

So i queue again, bear in mind time was against me as well, i eventually get up to the queue the guy looks at me and asks what is my purpose of visiting Turkey, i told him i was only passing through en route to London, he then takes my passport goes over to someone else, proceeds to argue with his colleague, come's back more or less throws my passport at me and muttered "go ahead" ignorant bas***d if ive ever seen one.

I then had to queue at the transit desk again, and there they were arguing among themselves in Turkish, i mean how pathetic and unprofessional is that, no mater what people say about Dublin airport but ive never seen the staff there arguing amongst themselves in full view of passengers, i was actually lucky to make my flight to Heathrow on time, i was the last on after yet more security checks i thought Heathrow was bad for security checks but Istanbul Ataturk is terrible and i can only imagine people missing connecting flights because of it, an all together bad experience, Turkish Airlines i have no problem with they are a good airline for sure but i would advise people if possible to avoid Istanbul Ataturk Airport.
