    Hello,
Can anyone tell me how play handle orders on items that havent been released yet, e.g. Game x is released on the 10th of feb. Does that mean play will post it on the 10th or will they post it earlier to try get it delivered to your door by the 10th.

On occasion I've had games shipped a day or two before the release date.
I believe this is to facilitate UK customers who can have the package
delivered to their door on the release day or pretty close to it.

With delivery from Play.com to Ireland taking a minimum of 7 days (I've had
parcels take anything from 7-28 days) you'd be best sourcing locally if it's
something you 'must have' on release day. Suppose it's a question of price
    saving versus urgency.

You can thank COMREG for not putting a proper SLA in place with
An Post for delivery times on post coming into Ireland. I've found
An Post tend to leave the parcels around the sorting office and
prioritise the sorting of Irish originating post on which there is an SLA.
