Is anyone having problems connecting their Wii to the web?

Had no problerms up til now (other than the wireless connection being temperamental) but today every time I try to connect I get error code: 52140. Unable to connect to the internet.

I've tried connecting the the Wifi USB dongle, and also directly to a router but now joy.

    Anyone else having similar problems.

P.S. I have a firewall but the Wii is allowed access, and everything has worked up until today.

    Cheers

    Has it ever connected?

You can do a scan for wireless access through your Wii and it picks up the connection... worked for me after an hour of trawling FAQ's.

i'm havin terrible trouble connecting over wifi.

I have a connection set up at home, and i can connect to the internet through it on my laptop.

I can find the access point via the Wii, but it just goes weird from there. most of the time it can't connect, but sometimes it does (no reason that i can think of for it to act differently) However, even when it does connect to the access point, it fails when attempting to update.

I thought it might just be a crappy router, but the laptop conncets easy enough, so surely it can't be that.

    any ideas?

yep same here, my laptop and my computer works no problem but the wii finds my network then I put in the security which it picks up, I put in the password and it then does the test and says it can't connect to the internet, I know the security is detils are correct...

Mine's fine again the last 2 days. I've always been able to find my adaptor but was unable to actually connect to the net. Was also having phone and mobile problems on Friday as were a few other people. So I think it was a bigger problem than just ninty web.

    Ah well, sorted now.
