Iv heard that "medical products" are exempt from import duty, so i went ahead and bought contact lens from an online shop based in the US. They work out to be 40% cheaper than anywhere here. Anyone have previous experience or know are contacts class as medical goods?

Contact lenses are indeed what are called "Medical devices"

Daily disposables are classed as class II Medical devices
Weekly (or longer) disposables are classed as class III Medical devices
