Was thinking of goin to Egypt and Sharm el Sheikh in April/May Anyone been to the resort with budget travel, is there much to see/do/nightlife and any security implications?? Thank you in advance

i was there in May and stayed in the radisson SAS. pretty nice spot in the resort but there's not much to the place as a whole. it's charm is really the scuba diving and maybe a trip to the desert for a day.

when you're out on the town you get the usual characters you expect in north africa..."you my friend, come here my friend" the restuarants were good enough as far as i remember and relatively cheap. i got obster for 4 euro in one place.

It was very hot in May.

Security wise i wouldn't worry about it. all big hotels have metal detectors as you go through the door & there's tourist police every 3 km or so on the roads checking IDs.
