    Hi All,

Thinking about running sat's for Paddy Powers Irish Open. I have a couple of buy in ideas

    €150 Freezeout
    €60 plus 2 rebuys at €60
    €60 & €30 rebuys unlimited for 1hr-1.5hrs
    €35 double shootout

and maybe a mega sat a week or 2 before the IO €350 freezeout.

    Any suggestions?

    Jp

how many runners would u expect for a 150 freezeout. I;d say the 150 FO or the 60+60+60 option. max spend approx 180 is good value for a sat, 5% of field get something.

60+60+60 will generate the most interest I think and get plenty of tickets out.

I will defo make it out to one or two of your sats when you're running them JP.

It would be 10 players at €35 & reg (probably €3) winner going on to table with 10 players who have won the same way.

Or €75 with top 2 players going onto final table

I kinda like that option, for a few reasons.
    1. I like non standard games
    2. I hate re-buys/crap shoot games
    3. Stundent bankroll, alas

Alright JP...are u gonna do this online like the one u did for the freezout or in a live game in a venue somewhere ??? 60 + 60 + 60 would be good idea... how many tickets would you expect to generate from this ???

and one more thing ... do u expect to get the league final complted in one night???

    cheers ...Alan

    Hi Alan,

At €60 + €60 + €60 it would be a live tournie. I will run them on both the southside and northside if there was enough interest.

Regards the league final, i just have to double confirm the venue this week, it will finish on the one night. I will be running a €60 freezeout the same day for players knocked out and may run sats for the Irish Open aswell !!

    Jp

    P.s. might see you tonight:)

Thinking about going ahead with a mega sateillte for the Irish Open, all ticket!

    Sunday 1st April
    Plaza Hotel, Tallaght
    Reg 1pm Game 2pm
    Buy in €350 & €35 Reg

Dealers on every table & dinner provided.

Structure and starting stack not confirmed. Looking at running the same structure and starting stack as the Irish Open but with 30 min blind level instead of 1hr clock. This will give every1 that plays the best possible last chance practice for the Irish Open.

Will post blind structure after i have a look at the IO structure.

    Jp

Sounds like a good idea JP. I'd be up for this too. I'm sure sats on GJP or PPP would get a lot of interest aswel.

I'd be up for this aswell. Just hope its better game than the game over christmas in the plaza, it was perfect stucture, perfect venue, but the standard of play from 50% of the players was unreal. At one point the 7 players limped in and then the BB min raises it. I couldnt not laugh.

Totally agree !! Would you consider maybe increasing the blinds by a couple of minutes, might allow that extra bit of play for decent players. (Just a thought)

    Cheers, Chris.

    I agree with cooker here!!
It would be great if these guys attended the mega satelite, Much better value than going to the fitz or SE and playing a mega satelite against a bunch of very good players, I was also at the xmas game in the plaza and was also amused at the standard of play.
But i felt if i had of hit a few more flops and got some premium hole cards i would have got paid handily enough and ran deeper than i did!!

    Hi Chris,

I'm going to make this one as playable as possible.

I'll have a much better idea of time after running the €150 in Feb and March, my plan is to run the structure of this game as close as possible to the Irish Open itself.

    Hi Jools,

I run games every night of the week (pub tournies) and plan on running SnG's as players get knocked out.

I am also thinking about running some games midweek, were abouts to you live and i will keep up posted with midweek games in your area.

    Change of plans:mad:

After running into time constraints last Sunday in the Plaza Hotel. I was asked to leave at 11.05pm as the bar was closed and the hotel wasn't covered if anyone had an accident, what a joke!!

I am in search of a new venue for both my monthly deep stacked games and Irish open super sat.

    will keep you posted
