Was thinking of heading into the Scalps game in the Fitz or the double chance in the jackpot. Dunno whats in the SE.

Will there be many about considering all the action in the citywest? Don't get the opportunity to get in too much so probably take my chance when I get it.

I'm also planning to head into town to play, was hoping the jackpot would still be guaranteed payout for the double chance tonight but it looks like it isnt, that could of been a tasty meatball with a lot of the good players playing in the IPC, i'll probably just play the scalps game then hang around for some cash game action after.

Malahide is wrong side of town and fancy some cash games, rather hit a casino tonight. Cats away and all that..

Think the SE is a €15 rebuy 4 x Rebuy so scalps might be better...
    never been to the fitz...

Lads, the scalps game in the Fitz is utterly awful. Terrible crapshoot structure. Play the double chance in the Jackpot. 10,000 total chips with half hour levels for €140 + 10. Even without an overlay it represents tremendous value for your money.

If there are no runners for it then you will still have time to duck down to the Fitz for the 9pm start time, or a cash game after you get knocked out.

Open your eyes Dom. They may not know your name elsewhere for now - but there is life outside the Fitz: I am certain of it.

Scalps is a game I have played a bit, you really need early action/luck to get a playable stack. It does have good numbers though.....

Never been to Jackpot..whats the numbers here usually?

I'd rather play a crapshoot with 80 players than a great structure with 10 players.

best tourny tonight is in the mayfair in arklow, 6k stack, 25 min blinds, about 15 players i'd say. 150+10, they pay top 3, it'll be the easiest 1k any of you have ever made. 9.30pm start

play nice now ray! There's one good player there, brian is his name, will no doubt be wearing a cap and earphones, he's very very solid. My early prediction is he will bubble after running card dead , you'll finish 2nd and some luckbox who gets hit in the face with the deck will win it.

Arklow is a bit far away for my pokering needs.

But I agree with Dom rather play crapshooty fifty euro game with decent runners then a 150e sit and go with half hour blinds and large stacks.

dont understand why people like the scalps game as it seems more of a social thing, if ur looking for a good game head to jackpot. last time i played this it had 40 runners and was full of play from the start till finish. cash in jackpot on a friday night is also alot more profitable than the fitz

cant play tonight so have to take my money to the emp 200+20 game tomorrow.

Was just talking to aengus, the poker manager in the mayfair, and he says their next eom game is in three weeks, on a friday... mental note taken!

play basic ABC stuff and you'll do fine as long as you dont get a sick beat or KK into AA or something awful, no need for fancy poker. and tell aengus he's a horrible dealer...!

What time does Jackpot start at and how many runners would people expect?

I hit the Scalps. A good night, but the comments about the structure are fairly apt, it was push or fold from 3 tables out.

I stole and blinded my way to the final table. In my second hand there while on BB I moved in with my remaining 3 BBs after 3 limpers, unfortunately my A6was no match for the pocket tens of the only caller. €200 for 9th and €50 in scalps so could have been worse.

Still I'd play it again for entertainment rather than EV
