Newbie Cash Game Player - Which Online Pokerroom

    Hi,

I'm thinking about starting playing online cash games seriously and have plans to begin with a $500 bankroll and play $0.10/$0.25 initially.

This question is on the topic of which poker room I should choose.

I'm aware that there's Pokerstars and then a number of networks: Tribeca, Cryptologic, Prima, etc. Which of these would you consider the best for building up a bankroll?

I'm also aware that I can go for sites that offer rakeback or sites that offer bonuses but am unsure as to which is best.

For example, is it better to go for Sun Poker (Cryptologic), which offers a 35% rakeback deal or go for Green Joker(Tribeca) which offers a $500 bonus.

The 35% rakeback is going to be ongoing. However, if it were deemed more beneficial, I could go for, for example, Green Joker and then move onto the different skins on the Tribecca network to get their bonuses.

Obviously, I'd want somewhere where there are alot of donkeys to give me their money:D

I think bouncing around different Tribeca sites it the way to go. The signup bonuses are the equivalent of something like 80% rake back. You'll want a neteller account in dollars to make this a painless pursuit.

But I've only really played on Tribeca so I'm somewhat biased.

Thanks Mr. Flibble. I'll probably set up a Neteller account in the next week or so. I have PM'd you my name/email address as I see that they have a $20 refer a friend bonus - better in your pocket than theirs :D

Anyway, from reading your post, I take it that you have availed of a number of the Tribecca bonuses. As far as I can see, most of them need 125 AP per $1 bonus. Therefore, I would assume that, as a new player playing $0.10/$0.25, I should aim for the sites with the smaller bonuses first and then, when my bankroll increases, go for the bigger ones such as VC's offer. Which of the Tribecca skins should one go for to begin with taking the above into consideration?

    Thanks.

Lol, a few alright. Over 15 accounts and counting. Poor Tribeca.

The smaller bonuses generally let you get less points/$ to clear. The paddy power one for $101 for example. There is a list of Tribeca skins here which you can scan through every now and again to look for good bonuses.

    Thanks for the Neteller referral.

I would go for one of two:

    1. Green Joker Poker - Bonus and rakeback
    2. Full Tilt - $600 bonus (clears slower than Terry Griffiths at a snooker table) and 27% rakeback via the Hendon Mob site. Very nice GUI as well.

a list of sites/bonuses would be cool if you want to do so?

do they all allow Neteller deposits (I'm thinking of the GB/Irish skins i.e. GJP/VC/PPP here)?

I think the GB/Irish skins all accept neteller now. But if the ac is in euro and your neteller ac is in $ you get charged currency conversion fees. But as most places let you set up $ accounts I think a $ neteller account is the way to go.

Is this what you mean...its the bonuses I've done.
    Bonus Total $3,918.00
    PPP $101.00
    Doylesroom $660.00
    Doylesroom action point redeem	$100.00
    Golden Palace signup $250.00
    Doylesroom $660.00
    Doylesroom action point redeem	$50.00
    GJP (bluesquare) signup $150.00
    Royal Flush $25.00
    Sporting Index Signup $100.00
    PPP $25.00
    PPP $500.00
    365 sprotsbook bonus 47.00
    Golden Palace signup $100.00
    Racing Post Bonus (1/2/2007)	$1,000.00

the ft bonus is a waste of time, something like 6cent for every dollar in rake? don't hold me to that...I just quickly realised it wasn't worth doing and stopped reading...

16.67 FTP points are required per $1 bonus, each point accumulated is worth $0.06. Its supposed to be difficult to clear at lower stakes alright, but cooker wasn't doing too bad last time I heard two tabling $0.10/$0.25. I'm sure its do-able, and will have a crack at it in a few months starting at $0.25/$0.50. 27% RB aswell so its worth a shot I suppose.

OP: Check out BonusWhores and fiddle with the bonus grid thing on this page
