    ah the perfect forum for me to ask my question.
    whats the point in a blog i dont get it? why do people like them.

    the only use i see for them is a freind or family member is living away from home and phone call costs and time zone differences are a problem (no msn or yahoo icq ect)

    why do you read them?

    I only really like the comedy ones, like the one some guy did pretending to be Nick Nolte or the one about Darth Vader. Never been a big fan of reading peoples views on the world (it's enough that I have to deal with my own!).

    A blog is just a communications medium, the same way a computer is or a piece of copper. It is the uses that are made of them that is important. For me a blog is more like an empty notepad. Some can use a notepad as a diary, some to just jot down notes, some to write poetry, some to write articles for publication and some use it like a scapbook and stick pictures and other fluffy things on it.

    I find it odd that a forum user would ask this since clicking the "New Thread" button on a forum is like clicking a "New Post" option on a blog. Why do you use boards.ie?
