Data Recovery Recommendation

    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a really good Data Recovery company? I have (unfortunately) a Western Digital drive which is making a buzzing noise (not spinning up, and not sounding anything like spinning up). There's a repeating buzzing pattern, sounds like an error tone of some sort. It got a bit of a fall before hand.

Either way, I'm looking for a recommendation of a solid reliable Data recovery company in Ireland. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    I

Cbl tech in the Uk are quite good, I have used them a few times to good effect.

Are you aware of the costs and requirements for data recovery off of hard-drives? It can range from 500 to 2000 Euros.

I've used CDR in the past, they're over in Blanchardstown, they'll do an evaluation & tell you exactly what it's going to cost you before they do anything to it, contact details are:

    LoCall 1890 237100
    Email: recovery@cdr.ie
    www.cdr.ie

    Highly recomned them.

I actually spoke to CDR yesterday - They seemed to be knowledgeable, and the rough price they talked about was fair.

I'm well aware of the requirements for it to be recovered, and also of the costs involved. I consider the data to be worth saving, this to be a ONCE in a lifetime expense, and I will NEVER let it go so long without backing up to DVD-R.
