Magsafe connector on macbook makes external speakers hum

I bought a macbook just before christmas. I also bought a bran new set of jbl creature ii speakers last week. Tonight I started noticing that there is a hum coming from them which i hadn't noticed before. It may very well have been there but i didn't notice. I started poking around and noticed that while the magsafe power connector was plugged into my macbook my speakers would hum. If i plug the magsafe out of the wall or out of my macbook the hum would stop. If I turned down the base on the woofer while magsafe was plugged in the hum isn't as noticeable but this really ain't a solution considering the base isn't really up that far to begin with. Anyone have any thoughts?? anyone else experiencing this.
