    check call river

Yeah I was going to post that, his most likely hands are a flush or a missed flush draw, so betting is bad.

would have probably gotten to see his cards for the same price I raised for...

I folded, just wondered was it the correct move, I'm guessing he could have Ahx where X could be 4 or 9, maybe even Axh

if he misses his Flush draw and I don't bet the river does this not give him a good chance to bluff steal?

this is just something I would consider my opponent to do if the situation arrised. don't know if this is correct thinking or not.

then you have to decide whether or not to call
the fact that he might bet the pot if checked to doesn't mean that betting the river is any betterg

cheers for your thoughts on it, I wouldn't have considered check calling the river, I will the next time the situation arises.

if your opponents most likely hand is a draw then you should always check the river, it makes no difference what you have. Id be happy to call a pot bet here as it will be a missed draw a lot.

checking the river when draws miss is usually pretty profitable.although i think he flopped it here.

Sorry i read your post to mean that because he wasn't drawing check call was bad. MY BAD Holla and all that other crap i am seeing on 2+2 these days.

Whether he flopped it or is on a draw obviously can't affect how we play it, but check calling is best, cause we lose less when he's hit, and win more when he's missed.

    EDIT: alright, no worries.

    re raise pre flop
check raise flop or lead with a pot bet.

as played i fold the river, im nearly always behind on the river here.
