    Hi all :)
My partner and I are thinking of having a week break in London soon, and we were wondering, anyone been there on a small budget that can recommend (centrally based) cheap hotels and flights?
Basically, we are on a small budget and wondering how much accomodation & flights for 2ppl might set us back?

    B

I live in London, and moved here 3 months ago.

If you ar elooking for somewhere cheap don't bother with here, it's horrendously expensive, particularly when you aren't earning the pound.

    Best of Luck.

You can get cheapo flights to Gatwick/Luton especially if you are not tied to flying at the weekend. It will then cost you about a tenner to get into London centre.

I don't really know much about cheap accomodation.

Buy a travelcard if you want to make the most use of going around London, also buy it after 9.30 in the morning as its cheaper

i was in london back in november. stayed in the regent palace hotel in picadilly. you cant get more central than this hotel. its right on picadilly circus. www.regentpalacehotel.co.uk very cheap and clean. i got cheap flights with aer lingus as well... i think it was something like €60 return flights, hotel was €90 quid per night for a double room with en suite. cheaper rooms are available

and as well, ryanair fly to gatwick/stanstead adn its seemingly a pain in the arse to get into london. with aer lingus they fly straight to heathrow and then i got a tube to picadilly and then across the road to the hotel.

The Regent Palace closed down on the 31st Dec last year. As said before London can be bloody expensive but some bargains can be had through www.laterooms.com. I would recommend the Darlington Hyde Park http://www.darlingtonhotel.co.uk/
Not as cheap as the Regent Palace but clean and safe
