Two Months

    Hey All,

    I've decided to take two months from work next summer to do some traveling with my girlfriend. I was originally planning on driving Europe. However I would also like to see South America and East Asia/Austrailia but would two months be a long enough period in which to properly 'DO' either of these places?

    Nowhere near enough time, asia, south america and australia would each take 2 months to see properly, so looks like youll have to choose

    Yeah I knew it wasnt long enough for all of them but in your opinion you think two months is long enough for each..ok what kind of funds would you be needing if you were working on a sort of comfortable shoestring as it were for each?

    Well i went to new zealand, tokyo and fiji for just under 3 months, and i brought 4500/5000 with me and i was very comfortable, never really had to worry about money and stuff, so that would be a rough estimate but it all depends on whether youll be staying in hostels or hotels, renting a car or using a tour bus etc you could prob get by on far less in south america because its so cheap, same goes for eastern europe

    ok cheers for the help mate...so would it be accurate to say in your opinion

    western/central Europe...........4000
    South America.......................2500
    Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam......2500
    Austrialia/NewZealand.............4000

    Based on two months in each!

    You are not going to need 2500 for SE Asia. You can half that.
