Creative Zen Vision M - Earphone Problem

    Hi

I'm having a slight problem with my creative zen vision m and just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar.

Basically when I'm listening to the player using earphones one of the earphones tends to lose sound at times. Always the same one. the sound doesn't tend to return until I plug out the earphones and plug them back in again. And then after a while (it can be minutes up to hours) it goes again.

Just wondering if this is likely to be a problem with the earphones or the player itself. I bought this recently from a US website and therefore it would be quite awkward to return it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'd try using another set of headphones for a while, any pair will do provided you're sure that they work. If this fixes the problem then the Zen's headphones are faulty, otherwise it's likely to be the headphone socket on the Zen. It may just be that the headphone plug isn't completely in the socket: try removing it slowly while the Zen is on, you should hear one channel go silent before the other.

I've a Vision:M too, and find the earphones pretty flimsy, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were the culprit.

Do Zen's still have problems with their headphone sockets? I had the Nx and Xtra and both of them died when the headphone socket went. Was looking at getting the Vision M, but not if they're still having these problems.
