Im just wondering what will the weather and night life be like at that time of year? Has anybody ever stayed at the Vista Oasis before or even in that area?? Whats it like!?
I here its very near Playa Del Ingles so ill probley spent a lot of time in there so even if you have been to Maspalomas but have been to Playa Del Ingles please give me advice on were to eat/drink/shop/go in general.

Any hints and tips will be most welcome THANKS in advance!

I stayed in the Vista Oasis with my family a few years ago, it's really nice, little bit far from nightlife & stuff but the place itself is lovely. The bungalow things you stay in are nice, much better than apartment blocks. Pool and all was lovely. Haven't a clue bout the weather though cos I was there in July!

I stayed in the Vista Flor beside Vista Oasis, yeah I'd agree that the bungalows are lovely, we had an upstairs in ours, very spacious and a good big pool... Although not very close to clubs etc.. I'd say you'd be looking at a good 20 minute walk to get to the bars etc, but that can be a good thing cause you're not kept awake at night with revellers passing by during the night like you would be in a more central location.. Maspolomas beach is quite a long walk from the bungalows though, and not much on it apart from sand, if you're going for a day at the beach you'd be better off going to Playa Del Ingles beach, lots of places to eat and drink etc... I think there's a bus you can take there.. or you could walk it but during the day in that heat I wouldn't...

How much would it cost in a taxi to the town center?

Stayed there two years ago for the second time. First time was about 9 years ago.

Great complex, bar is fine and the food is cheap and reasonably good. They'll even let you take the plates back to your bungalow if you prefer to eat there.

My only criticism from my last visit was that a few of the apartments seem to be owned by people from Las Palmas who come down for the weekend and there is a noticable difference in the noise levels around the pool when they're there.

There's a courtesy bus from the bus-stop just up from the Vista Oasis that will take you to Maspalomas beach, but I would reflect xzanti's thoughts that theres more to do/see/eat at PdelI beach.

Head out to Mogan for a day, it's got a nice quiet beach and a lovely marina with some great restaurants around it. Bus number 32 (if I recall correctly) will get you there for about €2. Journey takes over an hour and goes via Costa Rico, which isn't really worth stopping at.

Taxi to the Kasbah or Irish Center will set you back about €7 and takes maybe 10 mins, but the Irish Center is usually full of puking teenagers after midnight.

If you are looking for something off the beaten track, hire a car and head into the middle of the island. You'll see some breat-taking scenery and can see ancient Gaucho settlements (the natives of the Canary Islands) and go to Roque Nueblo, the highest point of the Island. From there you can see the snow-tipped summit of El Teide in Tenerife. You'll also pass through some interesting little villages and drive some scary cliffside roads!
