    super monkey ball.

and if i was you i would get 4 controlers.... assuming you have 3 friends.

i got a GC and 4 controllers, mairo kart and monkey ball and we used to spend hours upon hours playing those games. my girlfriend used to get involved even. and she hates consoles.

except now she is totall addicted to Wii Tennis and i cant get her off it. which is annoying cause i want to play Zelda :(

    Eternal Darkness!
Plenty more games, but I'm sure others will mention those.

There is a new version for the Wii and it handles really well with the wiimote.

The Mario Party games are great fun too if you have a bunch of people and Warioware will keep you going untill the Wii version is released.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is a fantastic and highly acessable RPG. Skies of Arcadia is another great RPG for the Gamecube, but it might be tricky to find a copy.

i got monkey ball for the wii and its great. only trouble is i cant find remotes to get the 4 player action going.

my only problem with monkey ball on the wii is the mini games. there are loads of them which is great but they're not as good as the old ones. i thought the monkey fly (target... whatever) was great on the gc but its not as good on the wii.

    still great though

Hmmm...i envy you, dude...all this to look forward to!

Rogue Squadron III is good, you might find it dead cheap somewhere (i got it for a tenner in GAME a while ago). It's more of the same if you like the others, except with some on foot levels (which tbh aren't marvellous). Actually, i loved that game, now that i think of it.

And as deadl0ck said, Mario Sunshine and Wind Waker(if you don't mind the cartooniness of it). Quality.

If you like Resident Evil, the remake of Resi one is good too. And Hitman 2, perhaps.

whats Resident evil 0 like? i have all the others on different consoles and i love them all. is 0 like 4? or is it more of the old school resident evil?

RE 0 is very much old school with a few twists. They've done away with the crates for storing items and you can drop and pick up items anywhere. Also you can switch between the two characters at any time you want. The graphics are outstanding though so it's well worth getting as is the remake of the original Resident Evil on the Cube.

Skies of Arcadia: Legends (cheap on Play.com) and Tales of Symphonia.

Really getting surprised at this stage that nobody is mentioning the many Sonic titles for the Cube.

    Sonic Mega Collection,
    Sonic Adventure DX,
    Sonic Adventure 2 Battle,
    Sonic Heroes,

Also Star Fox Adventures is a great Zelda clone, and Super Smash Bros Melee is also a must have.

might go and do this myself, though will only get perhaps 2 games

so tell me, what are the best two games on it :)

Add Metroid Prime to that list NOW!
MP2 was very good, but isn't quite as fantastic as 1

I could never get into SSB Melee. I love fighting games, but there seemed to be just too much mashing of buttons all the time... I dunno - maybe I didn't give it enough time....

Resi 4 for sure, and then one of Mario Sunshine or Wind Waker, probably.

Defo Resi 4, though. And it comes with the added bonus of still being available in some shops!

Some will no doubt argue for Metroid, but i never really got into it.

I agree with Tman on Metroid Prime 1 and 2. Too of the best reasons to own a Gamecube.

Eventually there is method to the madness.
