Handy enought for some quick browsing sessions.
I can't see anyone spending a lot of time on it tbh. Just to check emails or something quick like that.

    It's a handy feature though :)

Consolevania have a special Wii website with all their episodes that is set up to look well on the Wii Browser.

    You can find it here.

I think in the final release they should use asterisks when putting in passwords.
I had friends over a few times and then went to a site and then realised I couldn't log in without showing everyone my password.

Wouldn't they be able to see your password as you slowly use the wiimote to enter it on the virtual keyboard?

    My passwords are long,:D
That may through them off, and I'm quite fast at it now.
You still have a point though, but it would help me out at least anyway.

It's more of a novelty really, why use the Wii browser when you probably have a pc lying around?

Still, i use it for that media centre thing... watched a movie on it last night.

it would be very usfull with a keyboard.

might spawn some usfull mods also , given some time.

It's probably more useful for running web apps; like that media centre, for example.

I've found that the only time I've encountered the Wii crashing has been on the Internet Channel.
Sometimes it totally freezes, requiring the console to be turned off and on again, other times just the browser stops responding, and I can use the home button to reset the browser.

Really? My Wii has never crashed once.***Touches Wood***
The only thing I can say to justify it in any way is "Beta"

Yes a keyboard would make it much handier
I dont see why you can't just plug one into the usb ports
anyone know what the can be used for yet
if its some nintendo brand keyboard im gonna be pissed

I think the network adapter (note: not wireless) uses a USB port.

I think they should make Keyboard drivers. It wouldn't be that hard and would make the console a lot more usable especially if it supported Bluetooth keyboards.

They need to allow you to hide the frickin massive toolbar.

We have to remember that the console is still only gickle.
It's only out 2 months now, for all we know Nintendo could release a patch to allow external HDD's and the likes. The Wii has a lot of potential, we all just have to hope that Nintendo actually use it.

I mean if there are going to be playable Demos of future Wii titles and loads of VC titles and Wii software coming out, they are going to have to do something!
Unless they expect us to just have a pile of SD cards on standby at all times, which would be ridiculous.

I think we just have to give the console time.
It has USB 2.0 ports on it so it's literally just a matter of drivers being installed.

i think nintendo should take full advantage of the wiis capabilities cos they might lose a huge amount of money if people create their own drivers and release homebrew versions for standard usb keyboards for example
