That isn't very descriptive Winamp & Realplayer support various video & audio codecs of varying effectiveness.

What are you trying to convert music or video and if so what kind e.g MP3 or MPEG-2 etc as there are far better encoders for both than Realplayers realvideo format.

Real's RMVB codec gives very high quality video for low file size.
Maybe something on here could do what you're looking for?

OP, Computers is a busy forum. If you can't find your earlier post on the front page, please check the next page before reposting the question.
By Winamp, I presume you mean mp3? Winamp is the name of the program playing the file, not the name of the sound format.

Anyway, this is a bad idea for a number of reasons - first of all, changing the music format from one to another will result with lower quality music, secondly Real audio is aimed at a completely different audience than mp3. Real is designed primarily to be used online.

If you're having storage problems, why not move your music off the computer by burning it onto a CD, or you might consider upgrading to a larger hard drive, or a second external hard drive.

But, if you insist on continuing as you like, Google has lots of links to programs that will do it for you.
