Infrared reciever

I am looking for advice on buying an infrared reciever that will connect my Media Center Keyboard to my laptop (Dell Inspiron 9400), so that I can hook it up to the plasma TV.

Unfortunately the laptop has no infrared port built in.
I hope to house the laptop in the entertainment cabinet, so I would think some sort of wired USB infrared device so that the keyboard is in line of sight.

Advice on places to buy, online?

    Cheers.

Is this the MCE keyboard are are referring to or a third party model ?

If it is the MCE keyboard it uses the MCE infra-red USB adapter to communicate with the PC.

IIRC it should have come with the same receiver that 8T8 linked to above.

TBH the easiest way to tackle it would be to just buy the remote, 8T8 linked to. Its a really nice unit and the MCE keyboard will communicate with it.
