Think this is the right place for this. If not, move it, Mr Moderator.

Anyone here purchase effects equipment with a US style plug on it? Is it just a matter of removing the plug and fitting a euro plug? Don't want to fry my new POD before I even get it up and running.

    Cheers.

You need to order yourself a UK adapter for the POD, otherwise you'll explode it.

Do they not teach this stuff in school anymore?

Suffice to say, removing the US plug and putting a Euro 3-pin on it would be a very stupid and possibly dangerous thing to do.

Do what Karl said and get a Euro POD adaptor, or equivalent.

EDIT - The Pod IS a US model yes? Youre not just confusing a Euro 2-pin with a US plug are you? Sounds stupid, but just thought id check

Checked with an electrician friend. You either need the euro POD adpater or a step down power convertor.

PODs whether they come from the US or Europe use the exact same power. Plugging the US adaptor in over here will blow the adaptor. However this only applies to items that need a voltage change, ie effect units..
