Google Sitemaps

I added my first google sitemap last night but had a thought later. I have a phpbb forum on my site and excluded all the /viewtopic.php files with the wildcard excluder, otherwise i would have had to insert the settings for hundreds of individual domain. Does this mean now that google will ignore all the topics in my forum…

you can update the xml file dynamically every time a new post is created.

Some quick hunting found this http://www.smart-it-consulting.com/article.htm?node=133&page=37 im sure there are lots more resources.

I think there is a limit to the size of your sitemap file though.

10MB umcompressed, or 50,000 URLs per map according to Google. You can submit a single Site Map index from which you would point to any/all other maps, though.
