I am going to London in the first week of May with wife and two children ( 13 and 10 yrs). Can any one recommend a nice hotel in the centre of the city reasonably close to the attractions

I've said it before and I'll say it again..London isn't like Dublin with a nicely defined city centre...it's rather nebulous. Have you any idea what attractions you would like to see? If so, let people know and they might be able to point you to hotels that are convenient for them.

I've found the holiday inns, and premier travel inns very good. you can check availabilty online and see what attractions are near. Just google em! Oh and say hello to london from me! (used to live there!)

Jurys in Kensington is pretty good. It's about 10 mins walk to the Natural Science Museum and the V&A Museum, 15 mins walk to Harods and handy for the West End.
