just seen this on a board from the uk!!

"The Forecast Channel, which provides users forecasts and current conditions anywhere in the world, using a 3D globe interface, will go live on the Wii online service on December 20, by which time the second shipment of Wii consoles should have already hit stores. After the holiday shopping season, users will be able to tap into Wii News, streaming news feeds from the Associated Press, beginning January 27."

    please god!!!

Well jcoote ya beat me to it in the end up, but yeah, January 27th.
It hasn't gone live anywhere in the world yet, I think that, same as the forecast channel, it's gonna be simultaneous worldwide release.

I've been surprised by how good the forecast channel is and how often I use it!

I saw a video of it on the Nintendo website and it looks really cool. Nifty for quick access to sports results etc.

i use the weather channel nearly everyday, i think its class. love spinning that globe

I agree, Weather Channel is great. I find myself looking up the weather even though I no its gona be a pissy day!!!
    Its fairly accurate too.

If the news channel is half as good as the weather channel, It'll be great.:D

The thing about the weather channel is that it is not updated often enough.

Sometimes you might look at it in the evening but the sun is still shining according to the channel.

Yeah, spinning that globe rocks though :D

I find the weather Channel great, I do a lot of sea-fishing and it's great for knowing what's up.
