    Game $0.10/$0.25 6 handed
Hero covers everyone - all stacks $20-$30

    Hero on button with QdQh

    UTG raises to $1
    MP calls $1
    CO folds
    Hero calls $1
    SB folds
    BB calls $1

    Pot $4.10
    Flop 10h 6h 2h

    BB bets $4.10
    UTG calls $4.10
    MP moves all-in $18
    Hero....?

Not much info. 20 or so hands played so far since I joined. Game has been very small ball up to this. 2-3 going to flops with original raiser taking it down without much resistance generally. MP has been most active player but not insanely so. No showdowns at all that I could recall. UTG has been least active.

This hand really changed the whole dynamic of the table and it's the first time I've really picked up on one hand doing that so drastically at a cash table. I picked up the same hand 30 or 40 hands down the road and got a real "thats poker" lesson overall.

Make it 4 or 5 to go preflop, you have the 3rd best hand evar and the button. Makes the hand easier to play out.

    misread something, yeah re-raise pre-flop.

id reraise preflop allthough calling is ok sometimes. Id fold the flop though, they cant all have hands you beat. If you had Ah Ax this would be an easy call allthough you would be more likely to be behind, as with QQ you will often be drawing dead.

Cheers guys - yeah the failure to re-raise pre-flop was the big error here i suppose. Here's what panned out anyway. I felt I had to fold as the BB had to have something to lead out like that and MP obviously liked his hand too - and UTG was still there too. Fearing one with Ah and the the other with a set or 2 pair I opted out.

    Hero folds.
    BB calls $18
    UTG folds
    Turn Ah
    River 5s
    BB shows 8h7h (flush)
    MP shows 6d 6c ( three of a kind)

So I would have tripled up but didn't feel too bad about it.
The MP player reloaded for $25 and basically went superlag maniac ratcap insane. Raising, re-raising, overbetting pots and took complete control of the action at the table. I couldn't find a hand or a spot to stand up to him. Tried raising a few hands with suited connecters to hit a big flop and put him back in his box but also so I would be guarenteed action off him if i got a real hand. Then maybe 40 hands or so on this happens

Hero in BB with QsQd. Stacks roughly Hero $20 Villian $40 Blinds $0.10 $0.25

UTG raises $0.75 (villian has being beating on this guy very badly since he went mental)
    MP folds
    CO folds
    Button(Villian) raises $3
    SB folds
    Hero calls
    UTG folds

    Pot $6.85
    Flop 7c 3h Js
Hero checks (he was going to bet it hard almost guaranteed)
    Villian bets $10
    Hero raises All-in $17
    Villian calls $7 Pot $40.85

    Turn 2h
    River 4h
    Villian shows Ac 5s

So I went broke there and walked away. I could have tripled up earlier in a dodgy situation and instead went broke on a bad beat. It didn't bother me much though as I'm convinced I played both hands reasonably well and made correct decisions(except maybe for the failure to re-raise PF with the first QQ lol). The one thing it made me realise was how important it is to play within your BR as if this happened while playing for 10-20% of my bankroll I'd take it alot worse I think. Its a great game this Texas Holdem and if i climb a few levels I hope I can be as philosopical about sessions like that one when I'm losing pots for hundreds - or thousands. Living the dream eh? losing pots for thousands

good post. What makes poker so difficult is that the shorterm results are often meaningless
