Yes - but how much is delivery for such a weighty beast? I ordered a nice glass plasma stand last year from another online site - a steal at £50. however it cost £100 to deliver because of the weight and it was a lot lighter than the plasma....

Can't see these on the Irish site - in fact no plasma screens at all on Pix.ie

Can't find it on the .ie site...usually means they can't/won't deliver it here.

Panasonic TH42 PV60 can be got for another €350, if you shop around...won a heap of awards and has 2 HDMI ports as well. Think I'd prefer to spend the extra for the quality if I was making a purchase like this.

Well I know there's a 42 inch plasma in Currys Galway for 999 but can't find any specs on it ..the brand is Evra I think..looked really good in the store hooked up to a HD signal.

I'm sure if you rang them they'd deliver it to Ireland. It's not like any of there stuff comes from the UK anyway.

I reckon the delivery issue is something to do with the weight of the TV. Lcd TVs are generally lighter than plasmas, so maybe thats why the only 42" on the .ie site is an LCD

Yea I saw that one on Saturday, seemed to be be a fine set OK.
(EDIT - Think the brand was ERAE)

...On a related note, myself and the other half spent most of Saturday traipsing around Galway looking at 32" LCDs.Luckily we didn't actually buy one 'cos when we checked with a measuring tape where we wanted to put it(replacing a small/old CRT)it would have been way too big.
The 26's looked very small compared to the other sizes in the shops but as it turned out was just the right size for us.(Although they don't seem as good value 'cos they're not significantly cheaper)
