With an UTG raise and UTG+1 call I don't see JJ as a huge strong hand - just a medium pocket pair. But you have the button. Everyone has their own way of playing these but the real advantage of the button imo comes after the flop. The BB raised following an UTGraise-call-re-raise. I would be very worried. You have no info - just arrived at the table. His betting suggest AA or KK. Could be AK QQ TT the other 2 Js - anything really. The way you played it is like someone who's going to play the top 5 starting hands in Holdem into the ground. Get the money in when you're dealt one and hope for the best - nothing wrong with that either.

Anyway I'd call pre-flop and be very happy not to see an A,K or Q.
I would raise whatever bet was made and try to reassess from there. With no overcards I probably call a push and close my eyes.

You're calling the PF reraise hoping for either a J or a rag board to go all in on.You got the latter so u cant really fold here IMO.

How much was the MTT buyin as this usually sways my decision here into whether i'd call, shove or fold preflop?.
