Intel 82845 mobo bios problem

I was reviving a PC with Intel mobo and downloaded all the 82845 drivers. Installed these one by one, rebooting like a good child after each. Was doing great until I made the fatal mistake of running the BIOS update which was on the same Intel page. After it ran (and informed me that it had updated successfully), the mouse would not work. I waited for 15 mins and restarted. Then it would not boot at all, blinking light on monitor.

Is there any way past this?

Can you find the clear CMOS jumper on the motherboard if so that would be what I would try first.

IF you can get into bios, a re-flash from a floppy would be a possible solution.

I would go for the clear c-mos jumper.

I believe some members of boards are capable of reflashing certain chips, don't wont to name name's though.

Thanks guys. Only getting to reply now. Long first day back at work. I'm Configuring another PC right now, but I might get a chance to try the CMOS jumper before I go to bed. (If I don't try to reload the BIOS on this one :-)

    Edit at 00:42
Sorry guys, CMOS jumper reset did not let me in. Also tried removing battery. No go. Even tried powering up with CMOS jumper in "config" position (nothing to lose).

Oh well, off to Komplett and Computerbits! Thanks again.
