Anyone doing this? Obviously I can do it on the website, but I think I'll do it old-school style, and follow it live. Although with the darts final on, it could be a tight decision. :)

I don't like the way your man has his arm around Miriam there.

Did anyone get their results by text yet?

3 of us did it but didn't take scores when they were giving the answers. when we got our results text back from them it said our iq is "*".

That means we're real clever. right?;)

i posted this on another thread too
    =====================

did it there online, 10 seconds really isn't much time at all.
scored average for my demographic, 107.

the thing only gave an iq number
    found this on the net

    80-90 (below average)
    90-110 (average intelligence)
    111-121 (above average)
    122-130 (highly intelligent)
    131-141 (gifted)
    142+ (genius - top 1%)

I did it with 5 of my friends and we all got "Thanks for taking part, <web address>, your IQ is *"

It was such a copy of the BBC show "Test the Nation" - they ran exactly the same test in 2002.

they have obviously purchased the format from the BBC

BBC have been running Test the Nation every year for a few years now. Yes, RTE copied the format, but what's wrong with that? They also did their own version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, while TV3 did The Weakest Link. Remember the Lyrics Board? That was one of RTE's most successful programmes ever, because they were able to sell it to loads of other countries who used the same format. What exactly is your problem? Test the Nation is a good idea for a show, it got high viewing figures and it works well.

It is run on average twice a year by the BBC, varying between IQ and popular culture tests.

The format was actually developed in the Netherlands, originally entitled 'De Nationale IQ Test'. RTÉ and the BBC purchased the format from a third party company who bought the rights for the UK and Ireland from the Dutch creators.

The only problem I have about it is the shoddy production values RTÉ employ in its making - but hey, that comes with the territory.

I don't think it comes with the territory I personally think its a lack of confidence in their own production skills. No money was spent on this production. The Graphic Design, Set Design and light arrangements where terrible, and why did they have to employ craig doyle (cause hes on the BBC.).

RTE could do better but they couldn't be assed, its not a case of it coming with the "territory".

Does anyone have the answer Key or a URL that lists them?

I have a list of all my questions 1-70 and my answers A-D etc but I didn't get to see the 2nd half of the show. Is there a list anywhere?

Also how is the score converted into IQ. ie what would 35 out of 70 correspond to or 69 out of 70 etc?

I'm in the same boat couldn't see the answers on the screen so I rang rte who put me through to several different depts and noone could tell me where. I also heard mirium announcing an aertel page but didn't catch it so they put me through to aertel who hadn't a clue about it!!?
If anyone can tell me the aertel page number it would be great.
