So! It's New Years Day and I feel like 40 miles of bad road.
And I know it will only get worse as the day progresses.
I have places to go and people to see so I can't die in bed all day.

Can anyone recommend a good cure for a hangover?

Force yourself to throw up. Might help.

Have a hot bath, it'll sweat some alcohol out of ya.

    Tea, toast, no seriously!

Cup of tae, sausage sandwich. Lash on the butter and the ketchup.

If you don't have sausages, good luck. I visited two shops today before getting some today and they were both clean out of them.

Ooh! Ya know, sausage sounds quite tasty.
    I'll check the fridge.

    Drink more? Eek!

    Tea helps? Hmmm.

Shall I try all of the options offered and let you know how I fare? :p

A boiled egg apparently is a very good cure for a hangover according to www.drinkaware.ie Another but sadly too late for Lust4Life is to drink about a gallon of water (or as much as you can) before you go to bed the night before. It worked for me.

A cup of tea and an orgasm.

I had scrambled eggs today for brekkie and it didn't make a blind bit of difference. Nor did the pot of coffee I just drank. I'm now going to put some oven chips on, but I suspect at this stage the problem is more tiredness than anything else.

Hmmmm. I am finding that listening to Johnny Cash and a cup of soup are helping greatly.

    Heal me, Johnny!:p

Cuppa tea and an orgasm? That would be great but my son is home.:o

So long as you're not driving....a large frosty one and a pepperoni pizza. Balances the alcohol in the blood and fills the tum.

Might make you throw up (which could in its self help) but probably won't.

    Full Irish fry up

    Lots of hot sweet tea

    Lots of cold water

Various assortments of pain relief medicine

    Not necessarily in that order

mmmmmmm.... that sounds so nice right now.
working from 3-11 myself and was too hungover to think about sorting out any food for myself before I started work... reckon I'll have to treat myself to that when I get home:)

I'm gonna give a meal for two from Dominos a shot at curing this awful hangover, usually a roll with hot chicken breast, lettuce and mayo does the trick but considering I've still to leave the bed, its just far too much effort today.

I'm supposed to be doing an essay that will impact my degree hugely but instead I'm hungover and on the interblag pissing away the hours, and the deadline is the third of January. ****. And I can't shake this hangover, even though its almost 14 hours since I had a drink.

2 alka seltzer and a bottle of sparkling water always sorts me out.

I heard somewhere (possibly in a paper) that honey is great for hangovers, because of some sort of chemical whatnots happening with reactions and such(technical terms, of course).

A slice of toast with honey usually works for me. And water. Lots of water.

Am I the only one still in pain? I think it may have something to do with that ham I ate this morning as well though....

    Oh, I'm still feeling poorly.
I went for a walk after a long nap and did feel better.
But then My sis insisted we eat Mc D's for dinner. Ewwwwwwwww!

I'm sure it would make no difference what I ate. Everything would taste like dog food. But my tummy does not like food today at all.

Oh how I wish I was the type who hurls. I never do.

But as a consoulation, my sis drank less than I did and she feels much worse than I do! I kept laughing at her and she kept asking "How can you laugh? Don't you feel like crap?" Well, yes, but one must keep a sense of humour when it comes to self-inflicted misery!

Tomorrow we shall all feel better, right? Right? Oh please say I'm right!:o

We had a bit of a wake up call on New Years.

Hard night on the piss in Kalibarri on the west cost of Australia. Check out at 10am. 4 of us had to face a 500km trip back to perth. Sore heads and 40c heat doesn't make for a great journey.

5.5hrs, road side grub and a few stops later we were all cured :)

Ooh! Roadside Grub! In Wisconsin we call those restaurants "Greasy Spoons"!
The best cooking you can find!
