Been playing online for just over a year, live tournaments and cash games for 7/8 months..(bankroll in the black just!)

Over the weekend i got the chance to play in a tournament and the cash games that follow with a few very good and top level players(not self proclaimed good players).Held my own in both so my wallet says.

My free advice to beginners is to get out there, look these good players up and sit in with or watch their games. I learned more in one night playing against and watching these guys than i have in the last year,

But if you do venture out into the deep end please watch your table matters, don't ask stupid questions, use your two best weapons eyes and ears.I am not saying be intimidated or lose our own confidence, but if you show the respect their experience and skill level deserves it will be show back.

Maybe i was lucky and meet a few gentlemen..

I'm sure by advance you mean advice but fair play for getting out there and mixing it up with the better players. So many new players to the game are afraid of competing with the best which means they rarely improve.
