RTE, TG4 and TV3 on Technomate Satellite box

Just back from the in-laws in Wexford where they have a 'Technomate' receiver. I was able to scan the Astra 2 Satellite and tuned in over 1000 channels with the Blind search facility. Only problem is that the above channels are listed as scrambled. I have searched this forum for similar threads but could not locate one. I got all the BBCs and ITV channels etc, but do I need some sort of card to receive these channels. Alternatively I can just run some coaxial cable from an aerial on the roof to receive these channels in analogue. Second question relates to an LNB. My mother in law (I can feel a Les Dawson joke coming on) wants to watch the satelite box in the kitchen in the winter months and in the summer months in the living room. Is it possible to get an LNB with a facility to accept two output cables and run one to the kitchen and one to the living room? That way she can just plug the satellite receiver in to whichever cable is in the designated room she wants to watch it in. This is the tidiest solution cable wise as it is an old house with thick walls and I don't fancy drilling through! Any help would be apreciated and apologies if these questions have been asked before.

Hi There but you can only watch sky on technomate if you have a dragon cam.
Also if you want to watch in different room i would recommend a qaud Lnb for your dish. You can get these very cheap on ebay.
    hope this helps.

Thanks Joe, they are not worried about Sky, just RTE 1&2, TG4 and TV3. Will check out that LNB option.

They will need to subscribe to Sky if they want to watch those on satellite.

Even with a Dragon CAM you STILL need a Sky Digibox and Sky sub with at least the minimum two mix packes, one must be the Variety Pack. About €22 a month. We cancelled our eircom line which pays for it.

Thanks for all the replies, wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow with it being New Years Eve (what a non event!!) Ok so I'll get the quad LNB and looks like I'll be running the coax down as well. I wonder why is there an RF in and out on the Technomate? Great little receiver and it's connected to the TV by scart and the rf option seems strange.

This has nothing to do with this thread, try posting a seperate thread on the Terrestrial board.
