Poetic Story

    This is my first attempt at something like this and is currently a Work in Progress so please tell me what ye think so far

    A lonely room in an abandoned house
    long since void of life.
    In this place, they arise;
    Creatures long forgotten.
    The humble truths, the sacred lies
    lay broken on the floor.
    They bleet and roar, groan and purr
    in the inescapable darkness.
    A lowly figure does appear,
    to release them from their cage.

    “Out,” says he, “come out and play.
    This world’s time is nigh.
    They’ve doomed themselves, sealed their fate
    flicked the switch and tied the noose.
    Man’s own hostility towards Man.”

    The creatures responded tooth and claw
    rampaging out of that room.
    The world it moved unaware
    of it’s own impending doom.
    Until the sun did set and the moon did shine
    was their rage revealed.
    They ripped and tore, maimed and killed
    without mercy or pardon.
    Until the sun did rise again.
    And in that place, the man did laugh;
    Appreciating his own creation.

    Good stuff man, but is there anymore?

    TBH i thought your focus was on rhyme and not wordplay, but hey that could be your style.
